🏝️ Erice

Erice is a small medieval village that stands on the summit of the mountain of the same name, overlooking the city of Trapani.

Erice is a veritable ‘treasure chest’ of the Province of Trapani, and its treasures are the beautiful stone alleyways, its numerous churches, its craft workshops, and the magic of the Castle of Venus. Because Erice is indeed the city of science, hosting the renowned Ettore Maiorana Centre, but it is also the city of the goddess of love.

The atmosphere in the streets of the village is almost fairytale-like. A compulsory stop on an excursion to the summit is the encounter with the delicacies and specialities of Erice: the hot genovesi (stuffed with custard) and the Erice almond sweets, which can be sampled in renowned pastry shops in the village.
